Music can transport. That’s the thinking behind Scales Of Infinity, an event in which Red Bull Music Academy welcomes artists whose work has something of the otherworldly about it.

Headlining will be the continuous music evangelist Lubomyr Melnyk, whose intense piano excursions have been released on Erased Tapes and Hinterzimmer.

He will be joined by Iceland’s Hildur Guðnadóttir, an artist that has made her name with the cello, slowly teasing out the droning and ecstatic possibilities inherent in the instrument over the course of the past decade.
